The Government should heed the advice of other departments beyond the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) when it comes to making spending decisions, London Councils has argued.
In its submission to the Budget consultation, the capital’s association said the Government should ‘undertake a realistic assessment of spending pressures facing the sector ahead of the Spending Review, informed by cross-departmental analysis - not solely by MHCLG’.
